Majority World - Reach India
Reach India is a social enterprise bringing training and other services to poor girls, women and the organisations that serve them, so they might empower girls and women to make positive changes in their lives, families and communities. Reach does this through a growing network of sustainable service centres – social businesses capable of training thousands of committed local organisations. With support from Reach, these organisations deliver behaviour change education to millions of adolescent girls and women in 'self-help groups'. As part of these groups' regular meetings, the organisation provides vital health information, as well as information on livelihoods and family finance. Since 2007, Reach has trained more than 1,700 local organisations and delivered health, livelihoods and finance education to more than 1.4 million women and adolescent girls.
