The Elephanta Caves are located just off Mumbai harbour in the Gharapuri Island also called Elephanta Island - a name given by the Portuguese when they ruled over this area. In 1987, the caves were designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Hewn out of solid rock, the Elephanta Caves date back to 600 AD. The caves attract many visitors who take an hour long ferry boat ride to reach from Gateway of India. The cave complex is a collection of rock-cut architecture with stone sculptures of Hindu Gods and Goddesses.birdbirdsshivahindureligionelephanta cavesharbourgharapuriislandunescoworld heritagerockgateway of indiagodgodessmumbaiindiasouthasiaseawaterportuguesebramhavishnumahesh08021392

Monkeys at Bukit Bendera - the Penang Hill being fed by people. I don't think its good for them but people were feeding them all kinds of food including processed food like chips! George Town, Penang, Malaysia.

An overcast day at the Big Merino. This is a 15 metre tall cement Merino sheep (a type of sheep that is drought tolerant and found in Australia), located in Goulburn, New South Wales, NSW, Australia. Nicknamed "Rambo" by locals, the Big Merino contains a gift shop on the ground floor and a wool display on the (inside) second floor. Visitors can climb to the top and look out through the Merino's eyes to view the local area. I believe now the lookout is closed but was open when we visited. The Big Merino was officially opened on 20 September 1985.

Animals at a park in Wollongong.
The Koala is found in coastal regions of eastern and southern Australia. At birth, a baby Koala who is referred to as a joey is hairless, blind, and earless.
Other than Koalas, many native, exotic and farmyard animals could be seen. The animals can be seen in native bushland gardens and some could also be petted. New South Wales, NSW, Australiakoalakoalasjoeywollongonganimalparknew south walesNSWaustralia05071401
